You guys are clueless. Women do not ovulate when they get their period and pheromones aren't the same as pussy stank.
It's possible to smell menstruation on yourself or another woman if she has poor hygiene. It's a gross smell and I really doubt men like it.
Pheromones are released in your sweat at a different point in your cycle when you're fertile. I don't think I can smell them but I don't know if men can or if it's a subconscious thing. Men release pheromones too, just different ones. If you know what "man" smells like, that's basically the equivalent. You'd just be smelling "like a woman."

It is probably blood you smell on others. Although, before hysto, my periods were very irregular... and I could only recognize that shark week was pending by a change in scent.

Pre-period smelled like ... overripe avocado to me. Sometimes I smell it (or later, blood) on women who don't wear fragrances, hippies and people with allergies. I need to be in pretty close proximity, though, like behind them on an up-escalator... taking in all the "factory air".

Men smell like cheese/feet/locker room while women smell like grapefruits.
Just smear some pungent cheese all over you and you're good to go, brah.

I think you guys are thinking of that period blood smell, which isn't what it's referring to.
It's a weird pheromone sort of smell, you can't really describe it and most men aren't even aware that they can detect it.

Anyway, it only happens when you're ovulating and T usually cuts that out after a few months.

I'm an MtF and I can tell when FtMs have male pheromones (it's a sensation I only have in close quarters with cis men and some trans men), but they obviously need to have been on T a long time.

Also I have never in my life smelled a "period blood smell" on anyone ever. But I'm an ignorant AMAB so whatever.

I can smell it when a gal is ovulating. As said by others, ovulation should stop after awhile on T. I'd never hold it against a transman if he was still ovulating. There are birth control methods that stop ovulation.

Sweat smell is kinda really obvious and depends almost entirely on hormones. Women smell kinda oniony/grapefruity, men smell like cheese that has been left out in the sun.

As a bi male who catches on to these things for some reason, yes, I can smell your period, and when you're ovulating. Period smell is a boner death, ovulating turns me into an unfixed dog and I kind of get stupid and brave.
It's a strange thing. Women can smell men's hormonal cycles too and other men sometimes gross me the fuck out for no apparent raisin.
