If you're transgender and living/moving to Texas, I hope you never, ever need to use the restroom. The Texas Legislature will soon pull a McCrory and pass it's own version of a bathroom bill. They are a way of avoiding sexist building requirements, like some states which demand twice as many stalls for women as men.

MtF from Austin here, its p lit considering you are in Texas, though it hardly ever feels like it. The best way I can describe Austin is like a slightly less hip version of California if that makes sense.

Yes, Austin is liberal as fuck, probably more liberal than many northern cities.

Speaking as somebody from elsewhere in the south (not Texas) who currently resides in Austin.

The LGBT acceptance is good, the hippy turbo liberal "dude weed lmaO but ban guns tho" sentiments are less pleasant
