It's anti-androgenic effects are side-effects, it wasn't intended to be an aa. The diuretic effects are more annoying that the side effects from purpose-made AAs. It requires large doses to be effective, and even then it blocks nowhere near as well as intentional AAs.

It's only used because the FDA did cypro tests at 300mg/day doses and decided not to approve it due to liver damage, when cypro for HRT is used at much lower doses with almost no liver effect - a glass of wine a day would do more damage than 25mg cypro.

Not really. I'm on lupron and I need to take cyproterone with it because it doesn't get my test down all the way on its own. The effectiveness of lupron is overexaggerated by those who aren't on lupron, it's a meme.

Actually the idea that [x] is better than spiro IS the hon meme. Even if cypro/lupron are more powerful, most of the time it works really well and we don't need anything better.

A lot of transgirl only use spiro and oral estrogen and turn very feminine and beautiful and all. But if you are already a big hulky man-monster before HRT, well sorry there's no drug or surgery that will ever exist who could change you into an irl anime girl.
