I'm just curious what kind of movies does /lgbt/ watch, if this isn't too off-topic?
Maybe to keep it more on topic, what do you guys think of "diversity" in film?

If it's a good movie i don't mind some diversity. But when the director is obviously shoving it down my throat i get a little ticked off.

I like "diversity" in films, as long as it fits the plot or cast. If "diversity" is jammed in for "diversity's" sake, it comes of as disgusting pandering imo.
I'll watch every movie, if it's good, but my preference is anything by Hitchcock or Lynch and all the supernatural horror flicks I can get my hands on.
I also watch everything Star Wars-related, because I'm a massive fucking faggot.
Carol is the best movie to ever come out of hollywood in the past century 2bh
Not even a lesbian tho
diversity is pointless
I love all-black casts the same as I do all-white casts. Or all-asian casts. Or whatever. Insecure is a great show for example. Same with kim's convenience.
I hate casts which are very diligently 'picked'. Instead of using the story to guide characters, it's 1 asian, 1 latino, 2 whites (one female, one male), 2 blacks (one female, one male). Which is such bullshit and pulls me out immediately, even worse because majority of 'diverse' films are shallow fucks.

I like sci-fi movies the best, but I watch most other kinds of films, too. The latest movie I saw was Florence Foster Jenkins and I it was pretty nice. I do like diversity because I'm an ethnic minority myself.
