So what is the definition of trutrans, then?
>>7547592
i enjoy that he spawned the agp meme but i am sad that some autists here actually give it any credibility
He's a hack whose opinions have been thoroughly dismissed by the medical community.
>>7547600
>I'm gonna ignore every part of his theory but the one I like despite all parts being interconnected
Non-AGPs are just gay males who are so gay they can't deal with being men according to him. He started the "trannies are failed men" meme.
Go into the light Cara. It beckons you.

There's no such thing as trutrans, AGP or not. It's all just different kinds of fetishism.

I think Blanchard is a pretty cool guy. Eh marginalises a neurological disorder and doesn't afraid of homos
>>7547592
I think his idea that AGP exists was probably right. But he was a sexist down to his core and his methods were far from scientific, basically invalidating everything he proposed. Psychology is a meme field, so it is to be expected.

>But he was a sexist down to his core
so?

Maybe a misogynist shouldn't be the one treating trans women. Seems sensible.
>>7547952
>implying it's not everybody else who is biased

he wasn't wrong
this doesn't necessarily mean he was right either, but he was generally closer to right than wrong
it is 100% true that trans people can be dichotomized into 'naturally acts more like their transitioned than natal sex' and 'naturally acts more like their natal than transitioned sex', which is straight up just what hsts/agp means (you'll note in his research he never uses agp as a group label, just noting it's extremely common in the 'nonhomosexual' group)
i would split them into three groups, because a subtype of people who act more like their natal sex act like very gnc gay versions of it (see blaire white, also see most trans men) and blanchard mistook these people for hsts
i am also incredulous he missed the glaringly obvious presence of aap, but aap transitioners were a lot less common in the 80s
it's funny how most people who use the /tttt/ agp meme are agp themselves, though -- it just means 'acts more like your natal sex', and if you're a trans girl on 4chan you're sure as hell acting like your natal sex

AGP/AAP is as real as crossdressing, sissy porn, and those creepy "X-Change" threads on /gif/. The problem is that he made the claim that all bi/lesbian trans women are AGP, which isn't true. Besides that, he went about conducting studies pretty haphazardly and had some notable breaches of ethics and deviations from the scientific method.

Namely?
