Basically all mainstream lgbt sites bitch and whine about self-medding because they're bitter about gatekeeping. If they have to be ugly hons they're going to bring down everyone with them basically.
Most people just believe whatever their doctors tell them even if their doctor is anti-trans as well. They're quick to forget doctors and therapists are humans and have actual personal opinions about things that may contradict actual science.
But ignorance is bliss and the majority of lgbt communities prefer it.
