Happy New Year. I started mine by rejecting somebody who asked me out, and even though I wasn't really into him I feel bad about it. Literally the first time someone asked me out and I said no rather quickly.

And to make this relevant to asexuality, do you feel drugs affect your attraction to others either romantically or sexually? If they do, does this have any effect on how you perceive your asexuality when sober?

"Gray ace" is bullshit. Demisexuality is bullshit. The idea of an ace spectrum is bullshit. Everybody experiences sexual attraction in different ways. "Ace" people have this warped idea of the world that everyone else gets immediately aroused and wants to fuck someone upon seeing them for the first time. So sometimes you don't want to have sex, so what? 98% of the world is like that, it doesn't make you special or different. If you identify as "gray ace" or some other bullshit, you should reflect and make sure you're not repressing anything or dealing with internalized homophobia. A guy asked me out a couple weeks ago and we had a movie date at my place. Many cuddles were had, shit was cash. After the movie we cuddled a while longer until he eventually checked his watch and said he should go because it was late. I offered for him to stay, but he declined. We got up, he started collecting his things aaaaaaand I realize that of course, I have a fucking cuddle boner going (didn't notice it until my jeans made it painfully aware upon standing).

We were already friends before he asked me out and he was already aware I was asexual but I made certain to reaffirm that he knew before we scheduled the date or anything. We had also gone over limits and everything. He seemed to totally accept it, which made me incredibly happy. I'm fairly certain he caught the boner I had when I got up and I'm kinda freaking out a bit worrying about how he's going to interpret this.

I'm fearing that multiple things could be the case. The dark-haired girl never had fallen in love before, which made the other one think that maybe she was the same as her (basically also aroace, I guess), but it ended up with dark hair girl feeling attracted to her friend.
On this start they are definitely implying aroace for the main girl, but I can't speak for the rest of the manga. Author might end up just making her also feel attracted.
