Actually being goth is quite difficult to define, since it's a cultural phenomenon that has many ramifications.

It can be having an style, or a legitimate interest in the art related to the subculture while "dressing normal", or just a combination of these and some other. If you like punk, why not being punk? If you like certain fashion, why not dressing the part? if you like certain works of art, why not study them?

If any of you still actually go to a library and wanted a fun little read, What Is Goth? written by the musician Voltaire isn't bad. It's very light-hearted and tongue-in-cheek but still gets the overall point across well.
