I'm slightly trutrans because I didn't have a repression phase. I openly acted girly and said I wanted to get castrated before I even knew what trans was. Now that I'm transitioned I'm quite masculine though.

You make 3 of these every week, cara. Trutrans doesn't exist. Some are early straight transitioners and that's fine some don't get dysphoria until much later. Just because you don't think they're androgynous and 'hot' doesn't mean their transness is less valid.

I would say I'm not "trutrans."
For me, transition has been more about breaking down what I was turned into and reclaiming myself. I transitioned because I was raised to be male and masculine despite my protestations and the obviously flamboyant child I was. I could have just grown up as my effeminate self, maybe even transitioned, and I could have been happy and comfortably. Instead I was shoved into stoic masculinity (which I'm partially grateful for--I could have been a peacocking douche nozzle). The cruddy part is, if I was allowed to just be me, I'm pretty sure I would have grown up to be a feminine gay man, comfortable with being a man. Instead, I grew up to resent masculinity because "being a man" was exactly why I could not be me, why I couldn't be happy, ever, and why I couldn't be comfortable. And if there is one thing transition has taught me, you can't unlearn things, so I'll be forever an unhappy conflicted mess, with my anti-feminine training and refeminization. But at least transition puts me a little closer to happiness :)
