What do you people think about people whose gender is androgynous?
There was this person I used to be friends with that transitioned from female to male and then partially detransitioned because they were affected by dysphoria about anything that made them seem either too masculine or too feminine. I've heard the same story about some mtf a while back as well.

I sort of did that. Transitioned to female but never really felt comfortable being obviously female, I preferred the andro tomboy middle ground so I just stuck with that. I still use full girl voice though because I like being ambigious from a distance, then gendered female when people speak to me.

Androgynous isn't a gender. Male and female are the only genders. You can be an androgynous male or an androgynous female but you can't say that androgynous is your gender that's just silly.

Being androgynous doesn't mean they lack gender. Physically they'll always be one or the other. Whatever you think in your head is your business but your body still exists within the confines or reality.

non-binary doesn't imply a lack of gender, though? Binary means 1 or 0, yes or no, male or female. 0.5, maybe, and androgynous are all non-binary statements.

I'm pretty sure OP meant that their gender is androgynous the same way an apple can be red. Not that the are members of a gender called Androgynous.
