Why do so many detransitioned ftms become terfs?

A lot of detransitioned FtMs were never FtM to start with, just trenders. In the 70s and 80s, it was hip among feminists to pretend to be a lesbian for political reasons. Then, it became hip to pretend to be trans to push the "gender is a social construct" narrative. At first, it was cool to be an FtM if you were a radfem. Then they realized that taking testosterone as a cis woman is a horrible idea. This is why "nonbinary" women have been popping up everywhere in the past 20 years or so and why they are all radical feminists into that intersectional postmodernist crap. A lot of MtF detransitioners do so because of outside pressure (i.e. all family and friends suddenly cutting ties and the MtF hating it, experiencing violence and getting discouraged, etc.) or because they were never trans to begin with and were actually just an effeminate dude or a crossdressing fetishist that got themselves all confused.

one or more of the following:
1. it's pretty much the only community in the entire world that will accept ftmtfs
2. a lot of ftmtfs detransition BECAUSE they discovered terf philosophy, or otherwise found becoming more sympathetic to it was a factor in their decision to detransition
3. a lot of people are transitioning ftm who probably shouldn't, and given terfs are almost exactly like tumblrinas but use different words it's really easy to switch from one to the other (milo stewart is currently at the beginning of this transition)

Terfs have some excellent criticism of transgenderism sometimes, but radical feminism is a retarded ideology.

Because most ftm detransitioners were never trans in the first place and only transitioned because of already intense feminist views that men have it better and/or due to sexual trauma mimicking dysphoria. So they project that onto all trans people because it can't possibly be that they just took a wrong turn and trabsition didn't happen to be what they needed.

Transtrender FtMs transition. They are cis though, so it makes them feel awful and they detransition. Then instead of taking responsibility, they just scream "patriarchy did this!" and try to pass the blame onto someone else. As is the feminist way.
