If you're scared off by really generic and widely used medication than there is Saw Palmetto and Spearmint, both will lower testosterone.

But I would highly recommend just getting spironolactone, it's far cheaper and more effective (and yes, it's safe). I would start with 25 mg twice daily, then after a couple weeks bump it up to 50 mg twice daily. I get mine prescribed and it's free with my insurance, but if you don't want to go through informed consent (no real reason not to if you can), you can order online.
