I came out at Christmas while we were all sitting around the tree one year, to which the dull response was just, "Um... are you sure... you hadn't told us already? Were we not supposed to know?"

Apparently I have a the subtlety of a brick.

A friend of mine struggled for years with coming to terms with her bisexuality but it was so obvious that all of our friend group had told her we knew she was bi, and when she finally got around to realizing "oh my god I'm bisexual" everyone just stared at her with that "I literally fucking told you so" look

Everyone I came out to about being trans was entirely shocked. Only one person wasn't shocked when I came out as bi. My mom didn't believe it was me texting her. She sent me stuff about people detransitioning for a week after I told her and I just ignored her messages. Now we haven't talked about it since then.

It wasn't a big deal to me, just wanted them to know I found someone. My stepmom told me no matter what happens in the end I'd wind up with (female childhood friend). 10 years later we're still friends and I am still with my bf, but it's left a nasty smudge in the back of my mind like an ominous dark cloud on the horizon.

Yeah, I've been on hormones for ~2.5 years now.

I don't present as female because I'm horribly insecure and have super-high passing standards. So unless I looked 110% cis I wouldn't feel comfortable presenting. Probably going to wait until I get FFS.

Living in government subsidized housing so it's not too hard to get by.

Have a 4.0 at university and I'm graduating from a five year degree in two years :).

It was awkward at best. Nobody bothered me about being gay but still got shit for being a manlet (maybe just actually disguised gay bashing).

Funny thing is after graduating three other classmates told me they were gay but never came out while in school.

More awkwardness at home. I never came out at home so of course some kid went back to his parents and said "did you know anon was gay?" and they eventually went to my parents and said "we didn't realize anon was gay."

In my experience girls smell nicer, keep up more wih their appearance and have a whole lot of emotional capacity to keep relationships working (Some of them try really hard).
