/lgbt/ talks a lot about living in conservative areas, but for Britfags it's pretty different. Religion and politics are big secrets. Brits: how does where you live affect your deviant lifestyle?
I live in The South-East and I'm not totally sure on what southern stereotypes are like but it's probably true of my town. As far as I know, transgender folks don't exist here so I'm staying in the closest as long as I can get away with.

I think here (the UK) it's all kind of dulled a bit. in the USA people can be like fanatically conservative, whereas that would be pretty rare here. It's like we just don't feel it as strongly. Here an area that voted mostly conservative wouod probably be pretty nice, not some inbred redneck shithole like a lot of the US republican areas. For the most part we don't tend to speak out about something that we dislike too, so even if someone disapproves I think they wouldnr be that likely to say anything. It's chav types you have to look out for. The most trouble I get is from groups of youngish guys who are really stupid or think it's fun to just be douchebags.
>the south East
>not Brighton
If you move there every other person is lgbt

Man, Brighton would be such a culture shock. A great laugh but whew, a hell of a jump. My town is consistent Tory-country and yeah, it's a lovely place if not terribly diverse. The uni brings in some gays but not much else. Most of the time in British towns it seems like lack of diversity just happens. Where you from, anon, what's it like?
I live in Texas in the U.S. and it's really conservative. It was never really an issue cause I'm manly and I don't put my business out there. These days it's a little different for me. My fiancée is a little fem which I don't mind but ppl give us well him looks. I think if I wasn't such a big muscles dude they would prolly say something.

I live in Brighton. It's definitely a bit sjw ish at times, but that's better than being worried about people being against you. You can avoid it too, just don't spend time with them. I hear people complain about the amount of snowflake types, but they hang out at a vegan lgbtq+++ pop up cafe safe space or some shit. Obviously you're going to get them there! It's a nice place to live, I like it here

I live in Saint Petersburg, RU, which is the most liberal place in the whole country. It's literally full of hipsters, fags and junkies Ask questions
