What's the struggle? Religion?

more of just feeling alone, not very religious although when i try things with guys i've always felt remorseful afterwards.

Well most people suffer from loneliness, that's not exclusively a gay thing by any stretch.
Is there any reason you feel remorseful? Bad experiences?

dont really know.
just didnt think i'd end up this way growing up, different vision, expectations..

That's also a feeling that most people get, unfortunately. All you can do is let go of your old expectations and chart a new course. Find out what fulfills you and stick with it.
You are literally not the person you were ten years ago. Every single cell in your body has died and been replaced. You are a completely different being altogether. Don't live for the person you once were, live for the person you are today.
That might all sound like cheesy bullshit but it's true. I'm not saying it's a silver bullet, you'll still have regrets, but they won't dominate your life.

Yeah, a lot of stuff we think is gonna happen when we grow up turns out to never come true. This is part of being an adult. The best you can do is just get rid of any expectations and do what makes you happy while also trying your best.
