Everyone needs exercise to be happy and healthy, even trans people :)

What do you do to stay fit and look more passable? Idk for sure but it makes sense than ftms would exercise just like cis men looking to build muscle. Mtfs maybe more complicated

There's actually nothing wrong with Squatting but deadlifting is murder on a waistline. Squat, squat weighted and squat deep but there's no real need for you to keep lifting heavier.

Not trying to shit on you, but I got into /fit/ shit while transitioning. Managed to work my way from bar to 2pl8 and it's only done my figure favors.

squats and deadlifts are compound lifts meaning they engage multiple muscles at once. contrast this with isolation lifts that only work one specific muscle group, for example, bicep curls that only work your biceps. compound lifts are seen as the bread and butter in the weight lifting world because they are the most efficient lifts when it comes to building mass since they tackle multiple muscle groups. the deadlift in particular is probably the most efficient compound lift for putting on mass because it targets pretty much everything. your glutes, hammies, and hips are the driving force to pull the bar up and your back and core muscles are used to stabalize the body so you don't snap your shit up. obviously the forearms and traps come into play too for grip strength and the lock out at the top of the lift.

if you are a mtf don't fucking do deadlifts. yea your butt will get bigger but so will everything else.

Do other variations of squats like bulgarian split squats. What the other anon is more concerned about for you all is that the compound lifts might just make you super thick and manly in the torso. Squats will add mass to you torso just through the fact you are adding heavy loading to it. So minimize the load on you back by doing single leg stuff and you'll be good

i'm really trying to figure out a routine and could use some help/advice.

did gym contract, really hoping i don't quit going because money.

routine:
20 minutes stair machine

squats on the thing with the bar in place so you can't fuck up form- at 3 sets 5 reps 60lbs. think there are counterweights on the thing or something so it's less than regular barbell?

3 sets 12 rep hip thrusts at 60lbs barbell

3 sets 5 reps deadlifts, using 2x 35lbs dumbbells

anything i should add? trying to go 3x week

See if SARMs are legal in your area. They're legal in the states. They're considered research chemicals. A good dose of SARMs like osterin and s4 will at least kick start your progress. You'll be adding loads of weight to your lifts compared to lifting on estrogen alone. They really helped me at least.
