Be atleast as assimulated as asian americans.
Don't be as distant as African Americans.
Disappearing completely is unrealistic, especially short term. Even in a more accepting society, being gay will be hard, we'll need each other for support, and of course for sex and romance.
Asians have that right balance of distance. They're almost white, but can still team together and be targeted in marketing.
African americans have built an astoundingly creative culture that has honestly had more impact than anything white americans could ever dream up. They have good reason to be proud of their culture. But their cultural separation does contribute to the discrimination they face, the separation they feel from "white" america.
