Gender is very real, and definitely exists in a vaccuum. Transpeople in a vaccuum might not experience as much shame, but thats because they would be free to present as feminine or butch as they pleased without recourse.

Biologically, yeah, a mtf is a male who has undergone endocrine treatment to get some female phenotypes (breasts, fat redistribution, etc.) And FTM is the opposite (facial hair, bigger muscles, etc). That's the physical aspect. No one disputes that (maybe tumblr).

But there are flying cars (or legally, road-legal planes), and ocean-going floating computers (Any boat today will have computer parts in it) so the distinctions are really in your head
