I'm a cis woman. I've heard that it could be helpful to me to get a Rx for birth control pills "for acne", and then pass those pills on to a trans woman who doesn't have access to hormones. Is this true? How easily would a doctor give out this Rx?

Sounds like complete bullshit. What country are you in that someone can't just order hormones online? Why would a doc immediantly prescribe birth control for 'acne' instead of literally anything else? Why would you use acne as an excuse to get birth control instead of just saying you want it for birth control?

birth control pills are completely wrong for HRT, not the right doses/medications

A lot of birth controls do work for acne but usually they are SERMs and not applicable to HRT for mtf's. They only behave the way they do in women, not men.

I bought Diane BCPs from cis friends during my first transition. However, that was in the 90s, nothing else was readily available back then. These days, trans girls can easily buy proper HRT online, so there's no need to go for what always was a dangerous and not very efficient option.

depends on pills, some are the same CPA+estradiol that MtFs take, some are progestin+estradiol
