It used to hurt way more than it does. The hair doesn't really grow back that fast, but you get a lot of ingrown hairs and when you do they can still add discolouration which i offset with foundation and a tiny bit of red powder.

It also fucks chances for successful electro but electro wouldn't work that great on my hair anyway.

For the longest time I thought why do I still have A apple man body? Why have I only managed to grow man boobs that remotley resemble female ones. if your hair already has trouble it might not be the best idea, and darker hair typically has to go through more to be colored. but if you use the right stuff its usually not a big deal, its certainly not some chemo tier hair loss stuff, at the worst your hair might feel a little off for a bit

thx ^_^ and ya seriously if you everrrr get your hair dyed use olaplex. i can't emphasize enough how amazing it is.
you can literally go from black to platinum hair with minimum damage using it and it's the only thing i'd ever recommend to anyone wanting to go lighter.
it doesn't cost much on top of a normal coloring session at a salon either so there's no reason not to do it yknow

After I came out to my dad he eventually brought it up. He went for the female version of my name, which I expressed a bit of disinterest in. I asked if it was "too obvious" and asked if he actually liked it. He said he did.

Then after I told my mom I mentioned to her about needing a new name. She seemed to get that starting it with the same letters would seem reasonable but I was indifferent with her name too.

So, after sitting between two names for a week my dad approached me drunk and asked if I liked another name. I did. So that was that. Mom heard about the first name Dad picked and jumped on the middle name- she wanted me to have hers.

And that was that.

I worried I'd always be indifferent to a name. But I think I genuinely like mine. What I really wanted was for it to be "given" to me because picking your own name seems weird to me. And I got what I wanted. Plus a friend started calling me a shortened nickname version of it and I immediately fell in love with it.

If you can't tell your parents and get them to pick a new one, ask your friends to brainstorm.
