They used to ask every transsexual if they were attracted to males or females, and if you said you liked girls they got really suspicious and could deny you treatment if you were unlucky. This is why people are so triggered by AGP. But now Blanchard's theory has largely been abandoned and normal psychologists don't test for it anymore.

So it's the exact opposite to what you think. AGP isn't new and fancy knowledge that the old fashioned psychologists just haven't heard of yet, AGP is old news that psychologists have moved on from because it's retarded.

I went to the psychiatrist who diagnosed me with gender identity disorder on that first time only and I didn't ask about AGP. I did see a psychologist years back for a few months, but I never told him about my gender issues because I was too paranoid that what I told him would somehow get back to my transphobic father. The last time I went to some psychs was over violent trauma and I was trying to avoid the tranny thing entirely because they were Christians in a highly-Catholic Latin American country.

I did get the feeling the endocrinologist's intern I went to was looking for AGP, even if she didn't realize it, however.
