Actually, it's neither, as homosexuatily is defined as a sexual attraction to the same sex.
Sodomy, however, is an act, and homosexual would be a part of someone's identity, if not internally, then at least externally, as it would play a part in the individual's romantic relationships, and if they were out of the closet, friendships and familial ties.
