I think it's more that the feminist movement recognizes that emotion informs people's decisions just as much if not more so than rational logic, and pretending that the only good decisions that are good are purely logical ones is wrong, because those kinds of decisions rarely exist except in choices with no real consequences/business decisions. For example you rarely enter into relationships with people because it's logical to do so. You enter into relationships because of an emotional or sexual connection.

Also pretending that women are the only people capable of acting on emotion also adds to the stereotype that men don't have feelings or let themselves feel emotion, which is wrong and damaging for both sexes.

So, I'm the anon who wrote that post. I don't think you caught what I meant by that post, but still, I do appreciate your well thought out criticism.
FYI, I have taken part for 3 years in international activism towards human rights, which includes women's rights, and as an academic I frequently help more human rights-oriented students in studying LGBT and feminist issues. After all that I became pretty jaded with feminist political practice, t.b.h. Dealing with international-level feminist issues showed me both the best and worst of the movement, and after that I have a pretty big disgust towards most internet-based feminism because it's pretty much the most useless and sickly part of feminism there is.

That said, none of that, not even what I wrote in pic related, stops me from actually greatly enjoying female company. I like women as friends, AND I also recognize some of the flaws they seem to have the most — these two points are not contradictory. In fact, because I recognize women's common traits I find that I'm pretty great at becoming friends with them

Women are also raised to value emotional literacy more than men do, so when a man fails to pick up on it, the woman gets frustrated, as we all tend to do when our sexual pursuits don't go to plan. But straight men have the capacity to go through the same shitfit when being turned down that women can, except straight women have the worry of "Is this man going to hurt me if I try to turn him away?" So I guess my point is that I feel like you're being unfair towards them when they're just trying to work with a gender role that society is placing on them, and singling them out for shitty rejection behavior that isn't exclusive to womankind. Hypergamy and hookup culture leads to a mentality where people just want to filter out races, age groups, body types, etc. that they don't find attractive for the sake of efficiency.
