What can I do to overcome my fear of dating? I'm always afraid I won't pass enough for whoever I'm dating or hooking up with, and that after the cameras and angles are taken away (suggesting I use a dating site) they won't find me as attractive or that I'll get clocked or simply not pass enough for them in person.

When you get a date with someone, tell someone close to you to remind you about it and make sure you actually go. All that will help you get over your fear is to just get out there and do it.

I never understood this. If a reasonable person finds a trans person datable or attractive then they're a chaser and disgusting. But, to feel passable the trans person only goes after unaware non chasers and constantly worries about being outed. I know life is difficult when you make the decision to transition but wtf type of impossible logic are you using to decide on a reasonable dating prospect? Seriously, if you date an unaware person and they find out, you may be in for some serious ugliness.

not true, i don't mind if my partner knows i'm trans before we meet. you can tell the sweethearts from the chasers because they'll usually say nice things like "oh i don't care about that, thanks for telling me. can't wait to meet"
