There's this guy at my work who i've been crushing on for about a year now. He's pretty reserved to the point you usually cant get a detailed answer out of him.
Recently he's been open up to me a bit more, so of course i'm thinking he may have feelings too.
He knows i'm gay (as far as I know), and as far as I know he's straight (going back to that 'reserved' thing).
He's currently away overseas for a couple weeks, so been thinking maybe it could be an opportunity to say/ask something. But also don't want to risk any friendship loss / work awkwardness.
Any suggestions/advice?

Limited facebook info (doesnt have "interesed in" set, no past relationships etc). I know he has Tinder and that he looks at girls on it, don't know if he's ever actually had a girlfriend. But then his close friends are pretty "ah bro lets go clubbing and find some girls" so it could be a cover. Or he could be bi.

Not acting on it is more of a cultural thing. Take Rome and Greece for example. It was accepted, even encouraged, for men to fuck anyone. It wasn't until jeudeo-christian morality conquered the world that strict heterosexuality became the norm. Most people still find both people attractive, though in differing intensities.

Don't go crazy and apologize the next day regardless.
Even guys who are hard to read would probably give you a straight answer, he sounds non confrontational and if he actively talks to you he's probably not terribly homophobic.

he knows your gay, ergo if he had feelings for you, he would act on it. he wouldnt be worried of 'OH BUT WHAT IF HE DOESN'T LIKE ME'. he knows your gay. he knows you'd be an easy person to at least experiment with. if he wanted to he'd do it before he left, on his own.
