Ive played with it a lot, the last couple times I did it I went ep8-EoE, other times I just wouldn't drop the LSD till EP8. Talking to you about the shows best part being 18-EoE makes me want to wait till more like EP 13 or 14 to drop the LSD so that I get to peak through the shows end.

Of course that would leave you with around 3 hours of trip left to fill after you finished the series. Could fill that with another movie, but all I want to do after watching EoE is contemplate it and the show.
