That said, I want to mention that you talk about wanting everyone else to accept us vs. changing to fit society's mold. I dunno if others see it like this, but I think that's what trans people are naturally doing. Gender is socially constructed, but it still exists, so when we transition, we are saying "I'd like to be a woman, not a man," and not just "I'm not going to be a man anymore."

Honestly, the pills reduced my anxieties around presentation a lot. The happiest I've felt presenting male has been with a system full of estrogen, ironically. I still want to socially present as a woman, but that part is less important for me than getting on hormones to stop aging like a man.
