I think that in general, someone who truly passes can roll out of bed, throw on a shitty T-shirt and sweat pants, and still appear female. If you start as male in the morning and have to use a shit load of makeup, clothing styles, and camera angles to even appear remotely feminine then you don't pass. Most need FFS to truly pass, in my opinion, unless they never went through male puberty at all (puberty blockers from a very early age).

You'd be surprised how masculine you can get before people will start gendering you male. All FtMs are guaranteed to pass the moment they get visible facial hair, because even the most feminine woman on the planet will get gendered male 100% of the time if you slap a beard on her. Worst case scenario they get clocked as MtFs who aren't trying hard enough to pass.
