What are the most stereotypical jobs a transperson can have, mtf or ftm?
I'm mtf and librarian, am I just a stereotype?
pic unrelated
>>
>>6863854
MtF jobs: Programmer or Prostitute.
>>
>MTF jobs
- whore
- whore
- gangbang whore
- interracial whore

>FTM jobs
- basketball coach
- football coach
- poet slash singer-songwriter
- humanities professor

trust me, i ran all the data
>>
>>6863915
I'm FtM and I'm a wrestling coach lol
>>
I'm ftm and a bartender, majoring in animation. Don't know if that's a stereotype.

I see a lot of the ftms at my school majoring in art or women's/gender studies. I only met one mtf and she was a computer science major. So maybe ftms want to be professional sjws, idk about mtfs.

>>
>>6864010
it's 2016 shitlord
men can study women's studies too
>>
>>6864010
I agree. There's one feminism professor who is a ftm too.
>>
>>6864015
m800 I'm MAX_SJW but it really weirds me out that women's studies is even a thing in the first place. I understand going to a university to get a degree in a field which requires a degree to work in but if you just want to learn shit there's books and the internet. You might as well get a degree in history or something.
>>
>>6864028
yeah you're right, it's a worthless degree
>history
history is as bad
nobody cares about history
>>
>>6864034
My Dad was a history major in college. He owns his own law firm and makes $500,000 a year (no joke).

It feeds well into law school apparently.
>>
>>6864034
I mean, I care about history. History is important! Just not something you have to prove that you know to a potential employer so you go and pay the establishment a lot of money to give you a diploma.
>>
>>6864046
yeah exactly, history (and philosophy) is something one can do it in their spare time

meanwhile one can do something worthwhile with their life and study le important stuff like adenine guanine physics le algebra or whatever
>>
>>6864028
just curious what exactly weirds you out about women's studies?
>>
>>6864067
>adenine guanine physics le algebra
After a while studying it you realize that that stuff isn't actually important

Vain, narcissistic MtF college dropout NEET here. Probably gonna end up on the whore spectrum somewhere between whore and gangbang whore, lets say reluctant casting couch bukkake girl or professional sub for neckbeard Whitewolf roleplayers depending on how dissociative I am that day. I have a lot of sexual/romantic dysfunction, rape flashbacks, frustratingly unstable Black Snake Moan hypersexuality problems, daddy issues, mommy issues, and a lack of both self-esteem and money. People already think I'm a whore because I keep the source of my revenue streams secret and I compulsively flirt with everyone I meet. Might as well just embrace it and take dick for money outright while I spiral into the abyss.
>>

Mtf

Any job in the IT sector.
Mostly in web or print design, because we got the flair for it.
Otherwise generic ones like support sys admin, programming

It's really great, since the beta nerds lack girls in their surrounding.
Also, you get paid more in this field as a girl.

>idk being a whore is fine if you want to do it but if you're feeling forced into having to do it you should try to look for other options
I'm an insufferable, self-destructive hipster with a paper-thin grasp on reality and a burning, compulsive need to please people sexually to fill the dark void of nihilistic self-loathing in the pit of my stomach. I think being a whore suits me. This is my hole. It was made for me. Also, being completely destroyed physically and mentally by dick seems less demeaning and soul-obliterating than being a nondescript barista that practices hobby calligraphy on coffee cups in 2016 and tries to upsell the new overpriced Iron and Wine album. I'll go down in a fiery glory of STDs and black market adderall.

I teach students of all ages and backgrounds. Most of my students are post-grads with some form of music degree. I love teaching beginners too though.

Most of my work is done on skype+screen share+white board. I do teach in person though if you happen to be local. I'm in Indiana.

If either of you are serious let me know and we can get in contact. I always do a free 30 min meet and greet with prospective students.
>>
>>6864427
what are your general rates?
>>
>>6864505
I do $30 per hour session for most of my students. I offer a rate for non-professionals/beginners at $25 an hour.

And like I said, I meet all prospective students before agreeing to book anything formal so I can better understand the students needs, goals, trajectory, and introduce myself.

from what i understand it's basically like women's history combined with philosophies that explain why gender exists, how people of each gender interact with each other, how things in society work in relation to gender. not too much you can do with it except academia4ever or maybe social work.
>>
>>6864067
why can't you study physics or algebra in your free time? why even go to college at all?

sure the job market is smaller for history majors, but it's not like people looking to hire historians (or english majors or so on) will hire just anyone who claims to have learned history "in their spare time, using books and the internet."

unless i'm just not detecting some sarcasm, in which case, never mind.

Thanks for answering anon. I'm just always curious how people land interesting careers, especially trans people. Do you live and work in LA?

I have an office job. I absolutely hate it. I wanted to pursue an artistic career, but my family pressured me heavily to drop my art major for something I could "get a real job" with.

Now here I am, with my "real job". It's soul crushingly boring, it doesn't pay that great, and it has a bleak future.

The kicker, I just got off the phone with mom and she told me my career path is a mistake. Thanks mom. Thanks for discouraging all of my passions and leading me to this life of misery.

I know that it's a vocal minority, but every women's/gender studies major I've ever encountered has had a serious victim complex, overcompensating to the extreme and heavily implying that everything wrong in the world is caused by men and the subjugation of women. It just paints a picture of it basically being a university course in acceptable conspiracy theories about how women are being held down by some invisible male hand.

One such woman got wind that I was MtF and assumed I was into the same thing and wouldn't shut the hell up about how I must have a really hard time now having lost my male privilege or whatever. Didn't even question that my life may have improved a lot, not just being happier about myself, but the way people treat me like I'm a person now and are kind and courteous instead of like I'm invisible unless they want something from me. Yeah, having some overly aggressive guy harass you is new (I also like the compliments I get most of the time, things that would never happen to me as a guy where I could go months without any interaction with others that I didn't instigate myself), but honestly, those same guys would be just as physical with me when presenting male, pushing me around, throwing half-empty drink containers from their car window when I'm walking down the street, etc. At least now if it's somewhere in public someone will most likely step in to stop it if it gets out of hand, which would have never happened before I transitioned.

She near fucking lost it when I told her I felt like as a woman was actually a lot more pleasant and rewarding as a woman that it ever was as a man and that she was probably just as blind to all the privileges she had as a woman in society as most men are to the privileges they have.
>>
FtM and work with art and antiques. I mostly work with rich people and bored housewives, and being trans makes me more interesting in their eyes so I think it's a bonus. The only thing I need to make sure of is not dressing like a 12 year old or a transtrender aiden.
>>
>>6867419
Hi hi, sorry for the late anwser, it was getting late. No actually I dont live in LA! lol, I know everyone seems to live there for this work. I live in Toronto. New tax incentives have made Toronto very promising for alot of film companies.

If you want to enter the industry quickly and dont reallly care about what your doing, go learn a program called Nuke. They have a free non-commercial license. If you have a halfway decent gaming rig you'll be able to run this. Pro tip: the tracking node is a much simpler 2d version of the 3d tracking node.

You can get training for pretty cheap from https://www.pluralsight.com, its like the next stage of digital tutors.

Lol, I think one of the best things that's happened in my life is going home and being able to tell my bullies that hey, I live in the big city now, and I've got a good job with that arts degree. And you al live in your parents house's still.

Don't get discouraged. You can always change. where abouts do you live? I might know some folks who are hiring and that will give you a target to shoot for.

I'm ftm and I'm pre-PA. I was gonna do chemistry but I'd kill myself if I had to be in a lab everyday and the smell from the chemical waste gives me massive migraines.

I only know two other trans people I can report on. One mtf is going to a community college but is only freshman at age 22 and 3 years of college later because she's so poor she can only take two classes a semester. It seems to be it would be better in the long run to just not go to college and throw all that money into getting a car so she can get a better job, especially since she's going for one of those super-oversaturated business majors and she's not going to graduate for another 10 years or so it seems. I think she fell for the meme that graduating from college will instantly give you a good job.

The other mtf I know is 21, unemployeed for the most part but helps with the business her mother owns so sh'es not technically neet.

Your welcome! Just another tip if you're in the bay area. There's a company out there called Legend 3D. If your looking to jump immediately into the field see if you can get hired by them as a "depth artist". After that you can get a feel for the work, practise and crosstrain up a job as a compositing artist. Legend is well known for taking amateurs and putting them through a great training program. Its not as much money as other places, but it's more then enough. If they won't hire you for LA, then try a gander at the branch in Toronto.

>>
>>6867616

>vocal minority

No, they're only a vocal minority relative to all other students in a university. Pretty much every single women's studies major is a cunt-y SJW like you described because... why else would someone willingly enroll in the major?

Women's studies has no place in academia because, as you said, they pretty much just offer courses in conspiracy theories. The entire department is agenda-driven advocacy that simply operates to indoctrinate people.

And when they do lift a finger to do something remotely academic, it's flawed as fuck. Feminist research is toilet paper at best and intellectual garbage at worst. If their "research" was subject to the same peer-review rigor as other disciplines, pretty much none of it would stand up to scrutiny.
>>
