If you understand fascism only through the writings of those critical about it, it's no surprise that you end up considering it an inferior ideology to socialism or capitalism - rather than a syncretic system that accounts for the benefits and weaknesses of both.

I've red commented extracts of Mein Kampf. I believe that shit is badly written on purpose. For all the hate you have on Communism, Marx & Hegel spent years debating and talking about a coherent framework for their ideology and called it "dialectical materialism". Nazism is based on racial theory (debunked for ages) and "Everything is the Jew/Arab fault". As said in the picture, it's a set of loose bottom-feeder "arguments" vaguely put together with national myths and identities.

It's no surprise than fascist regimes were corrupted to the core and notoriously inefficient in everything that wasn't war-oriented. Look up how Goering lived for examples. Less jarring, Hitler never had a single cabinet meeting and discouraged his ministers from meeting and cooperating with each other.

I'm all for syncretic policies - as I said, I'm a bit conservative on some issues - but Fascism, be it the Italian or German version, is simply inefficient and inhumane.

Now as far as regimes go - if we are to accept the proposition that fascism is inherently bad because Hitler and Mussolini lost the war then we might as well accept the failure of socialism because it lost the Cold War. The inefficiency in Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy can be attributed to human error and a misinterpretation of fascist principles for personal largesse.

Fascism is not an ideology that fits in a neat little box like Trotskyism. It's ultimately an umbrella of differing interpretations of the basic principles, and obviously some interpretations aren't going to work out.

As for inhumanity - this is a personal value judgement probably based around some concept of the free organization of labor and unions, which ought to be prevented because it creates class consciousness and inefficiencies in industry.

Otto and Gregor Strasser pushed for a more worker based "Strasserism" - and Otto wrote prolifically even after the end of Hitler's Germany.

Mosca's "The Ruling Class" is one of the inspirations for Mussolini's Italian Fascism.

I could go on, but like any other movement fascism has more roots and more literary expressions than Mein Kampf. Hitler's writings ought to he understood not as the perfected final product but rather as just another permutation in an overarching ideological family.

As far as racialism goes - I'm not going to deny the racialism and social Darwinism that feeds into fascist thought. But it's not the required end product either. Neither Francoist Spain nor Fascist Italy were over concerned with race per se. The nation is what drove their othering concerns, and is little different than the othering that socialism promotes when it comes to class consciousness.
