I think as a FtM you have a much better chance of passing and being accepted as the gender you identify with as opposed to a MtF. I have two friends who are FtM and you wouldn't in a million years know that they were once female if you met them. They fit in perfectly as men, albeit slightly short ones.

It's a lot easier to add masculine features with testosterone than to take them away with estrogen.

As far as passing goes, T should have you covered there.
What give me pause, personally, is the dick issue. I'm not sure it's even worth being seen as a man and getting an increased libido if I'm still fairly unable or at least limited as far as actually doing anything about it.

It's funny how it works out. Women are raised to measure their value by their appearance, and trans women get stiffed on passing while having slightly better bottom surgery. Men are raised to measure their value by their dicks, and trans men get stiffed on that while having better odds at passing.
