Even right now, there is a thread about trannnys. You could make a similar one and it would fill up with posters, any thread made with a trap image will get more IPs than any other threads except the generals.

Of the few times I went to /pol/ I'm actually under the impression that the board itself is less extreme than the members that go to preach on other boards.
