Usually when LGBT groups favour islamists, to them they're thinking about abuse towards Muslims who've intergrated into western society and aren't radical in belief and tolerate or atleast preach don't preach hate towards the LGBT community. So when they defend critisicm of Islam they're thinking of some Muslim exchange student being called a raghead and not really looking into the hate and human rights violations that goes againts gays in these Islamic countries. Both gays and muslims face discrimination in society, so when a group like the LGBT fight againts discrimination they feel the need to defend other groups also facing discrimination and supporting them and not bothering to realise a good majority of Islam is againts them.
