More and more gay and lesbian couples start wanting children but are using artificial insemination
How would you feel about you or your partner making a baby the old way with a friend? Aren't open relationship more frequent with homo couples than with hereto ones, fidelity being a hetero/patriarchal thing?
I'm mostly straight but wondering

Ok ok I somewhay loves to trollbait a little but the question seems legit. In fact this question could be asked also to hetero couples when the man is either sterile or a potential "donor".
I think parenting instinct is unrelated to gender or sexual orientation and that children are wonderful for people who loves them.
TLDR Fidelity is overrated was my main trollbait.

Maybe it should be possible to make stem cells differenciate to ovarian tissues or eggs regardless of genetic gender since it has been done for sperm and that some species have a non genetic gender like fishs or reptiles. Leads to a possible in vitro lesbian fertilization. For males you would need to cull XY eggs and you still need a working uterus at some point but it would solve some problems.
Until that you'd need relatives gametes for close kinship

I think it's something related to the"gendered" vision of lesbian couples like butch/fem with one partner being less feminine. Seems that even some lesbians talk like this
