It's not pedantry to point out that LGBTQ(etc) attempts to create a community that doesn't exist. Abbreviations in this context aren't just 'a logo', they're a symbol of identity, and LGBTQ(etc) fails to recognise that most LGBT people thinks tumblr bullshit doesn't qualify someone as a member of that community.

That being said do we, the LGBT want to risk appearing as if we're aligning ourselves with tumblr crazies by adding extra letters?
