A growing horror upon realising precisely what bodily functions I possessed beginning at age nine. Desire for surgery to remove offending primary sex characteristics (note: but not replace them with anything) until I was fourteen, at which point I developed major epilepsy and most of my day-to-day thoughts became centred around seizures and little else.

As an adult, age 25, I have taken certain steps to ensure primary sex characteristics are as unbothersome as possible, but have not had surgery.

I've seen 4 neurologists. Got a nice diagnosis of refractory epilepsy, which means the drugs don't help. The seizure thing fucked me up bad, though, and I was having real problems with agoraphobia for a long time. Didn't want to do things like cross roads, swim, ride a bike, have a seizure naked so I showered in my underwear and got dressed/undressed one article at a time.

So, psychiatrist. Working through the effects uncontrollable seizures has left on my psyche.

But I'm really confused about gender identity, which has come up a lot recently since one of my biosibs came out trans.
