Shieet, where does time goes. I agree that most seasonal anime isn't worth watching, but there is always one of two series that are, although I don't feel like that anymore since I began taking anti-depressants and now I gobble up to 15 seasonal anime and rarely dislike any of them.

Anyway, my point is that you should give recent and seasonal anime a chance again. This season 91 Days and Regalia are pretty interesting, plus Regalia has sakuga mecha fights. Amanchu! and Amaama to Inazuma are top comfy and New Game! is the seasonal kirarashit (it's good). There is also LL Sunshine if you're into idols or just cute girls. Finally Ange Vierge has lots of super interesting PLOT and a top-tier seiyuu cast. None of these are even slightly similar to Psycho-Ass but you could like them!

I hate to call something "comfy" but ok I love this thread and wish it would last forever.

Every time I go to a con I think "this time I'll meet someone" but of course not. None of my cons are exactly local either. I did have a really good time at a certain small panel at Anime North this year, I really wish I could have talked more with this girl sitting in front of me, but Ontario is three provinces away so even if we did exchange contact info it wouldn't have been any good. But it was a really nice panel.

About a month later I went to a yuri panel at a more local (but still far away) con and... it was awful. Just awful. Back to normal.

If you live in metropolitan Ontario then why are you single? That's like the unofficial lesbian capital of Canada.

I think part of it is that most females are just too social to ever sit down and watch over 10 anime series in their life, it's a thing they can casually enjoy (like watching Sailor Moon on TV) but nothing they get really into. I think this is also why most females that like anime are heavy into cosplay, because they can socialize and enjoy their hobby at the same time.

Most females can also easily get a partner if they are heterosexual, so no need to fawn over anime boys when they can get Chad next door. This is why ugly/weird looking hetero girls tend to like anime.

When it comes to lesbians I can just guess that the SJW brainwashing, which is not new by any means, puts them off from sexy cartoon females because of the feminist stigma it carries. Also this mentality of "I can't enjoy lesbians if they are written by a man" prevents them from finding female authors, which actually are abundant in yuri.
