For the record I hate lesbians in general (some are okay) and don't view them as real, for example I think some women have too low of a sex drive and some conflate that with not being straight. I wasn't into guys either until I took my first dick. I think a low sex drive leads to fuzziness in your sexuality. Men on the other hand have that shit FORCED right in their face very prominently, by their testosterone induced sex drive.

For me it seemed to force "you're into girls" down my throat, and hard. Was convinced of 100% straightness. After eliminating hormonal sex drive my orientation has gone all over the fucking place. Now it's fuzzy, malleable, confusing as fuck, and so on. This has greatly changed my opinions on sexuality and it's relation to sex drive. To me it seems the higher the sex drive, the more stable the attraction/orientation. I can easily see how a girl with a low sex drive might think they're not into guys one single bit. It's not so much physical body that drives my attraction either, it's their whole being, their mind, their attitude, their personality. If those desires align with the feminine in a girl with a low sex drive I can see that easily leading to lesbianism, even if they could be malleable enough, we're it pressed/tried the right way in the right circumstances.

This shows the connection for women, but you may be right for men. However, it didn't compare any of the sex drives of bi men to monosexual men (the bi erasure in scientific literature is strong) so I wouldn't say it's conclusive. But from what I've heard, bi people in general are more promiscuous than both heteros and homos. (It also doesn't specifically mention trans people.)

Firstly the "gaydar" you speak of is far from accurate. Roughly 55-60% accuracy across the board for both lgbt and straight cis individuals. Not much deviation. Gaydar is a myth. A little bit better than a coin flip, but anything but accurate.

In regards to brain scans, the brain is an extremely plastic organ. If you don't believe me look up the Frenchman missing 90% of his neurons. He's got an iq of 75, a wife and kids, holds a job. Not the sharpest tool in the shed but still a functional human bean, and not retarded or special needs.

So with that in mind I believe it possible for their brain scan to become like that due to environmental factors, conditioning, life experience, and so on. It is far from a conclusive link saying "these people were born this way."

We just don't know the answer, it would be wonderful to know though. We barely know the secrets of the brain, in general. In regards to lgbt stuff it'd be great to have more research but as the OP said above, scientists are afraid of offending people with facts. It's not seen as pc, especially if the data winds up saying something people don't want to hear - and that is a possible outcome, undeniably.

This isn't supported, and from Dworkin to Butler to bell hooks, there's a great deal of solidity and respect for trans experiences and bodies expressed. TERFs are, and have always been few. All of their moments of significance coming with the aid of conservative powerhouses, or as a consequence of outright ambush.

Feminist and lesbian communities have often been sources of support for trans people, and vice-versa.
