So I've been on hormones for two years and something EXTREMELY strange has happened.

I hadn't been seeing the results I wanted with my regular estrogen dosage so I decided to triple the dosage.

When I injected the estrogen into my arm(my ass is sore from injecting there) it immediately fell off and turned into a pile of roses, glitter and tampons.

I don't know what to do, I've been staring at this pile for 20 minutes and it hasn't turned back into an arm.

As someone who played during HS... it's absurdely easier to lose weight than to play the violin. Now that I have a job that benefits from some finesse and creativity (decorating baked goods) I've found out that I literally don't know how to take compliments that can't be misconstrued to be insults.

I know I'm supposed to say "thank you" but instead of taking any gratification when my boss says the weird experiments "look amazing" I just agree with them ("yeah they do!") instead like I'm a third party and I'm self-conscious that it comes off like I'm full of myself but I feel weird saying thank you/thanks because these are some of the first times in my life where after I received a compliment I wasn't trying to figure out if they had a malevolent intent and would laugh at me if I took it sincerely. Or be paranoid they're complimenting something because everything *else* looks bad ("You have pretty eyes.")

Depending on what you define as the best sort of ally, you might have to subject yourself to less and less reasonable bullshit, and label more and more people trans phobic without real cause.

Just try and observe, see things for yourself, try to acknowledge the first impressions your biases give you, and also to see it from other perspectives, or try to see around your own biases.

Simply being the "best" ally is a thought process that leads many well meaning people to turning around and just being hurtful to the type of tranny you see here on mtfg, either by hard pushing images of transness that overshadow and erase the milder types you find here, or by ideologically talking yourself into thinking we are really the bad guys.

well i'm not trying to say that, but why doesn't the transcommunity reject her or make it clear she's not the best representative?
even if she wasn't chosen by most transpeople; 'everyone' seems to be just going along with it, whereas jazz jennings or laverne cox, or jamie clayton, or even janet mock dont get nearly as much play.

and as far as i can tell most "notable" trans people dont say much, if anything negative about Cait Jenner.

im not trying to do that, which is why i'm asking
but i do want to be an ally, so if a dissenter or another cis persons asks me, i do want to be able to give the appropriate response i dont want to shout over trans voices at all.
