Those are two completely separate things.
One is a group claiming to be trans who is doing absolutely nothing to transition.
The other is a group that is taking hormones in order to modify their bodies, yet also does not want to transition, and thus is not trans.

Calling yourself mtf or ftm IMO requires both the desire/effort of transition, and the taking of hormones.

If someone lacks either of those, I cannot consider them trans in seriousness.

You are making assumptions here though. I would say most of us didn't start hormones purely for vanity. I started them myself because I would have rather been more feminine than masculine, and I really wasn't liking how my body was masculinizing as I aged.

I love being feminine. I don't want to be a girl, but I'd hate not being feminine anymore. I'd hate being masculine. So I took the hormones so I could enjoy my life to the maximum, and so I could truly be myself and wouldn't have to physically occupy a body that I hated.

Is it natural? No. Neither is sitting on a computer talking with people thousands and thousands of miles away from me.

My main point is this though: cypro is different from being normal, but it sure as shit is a thousand times closer to feeling normal than spiro was. Anyone who as made the switch would agree, it feels so much better to be off of spiro.
