I got lucky though and burgundy took care of that problem. The problem was keeping Prussia strong after making it. Maybe I should focus and a more slow pace game.

probably because you're talking to people who don't care too much. 'it can't be that bad' is something you say to try and cheer people up without actually bothering (unless they're actually being a little diva bitch about it, but even then you explain why) so once you actually tell them you're problems, they're gonna just be like ok shit that's terrible, because they weren't that bothered about being supportive in the first place. And I know you've got it tough, but the thing is to accept your limits - yes you may fuck things up more than everyone else because of the hand you've been dealt - but if you let yourself get sucked into the depression nothing WILL ever change. I've heard of the experiment before, gimme a minute to look it up. They were testing how the current hormones in a human body affect a child's sexuality, to find the source of homosexuality. The theory was that, since estrogen equivalents make females attracted to males in other animal species, it would be the same with humans, but what they found was that both sexuality and gender were things that pre-existed in the mind, and that the symptoms of gender dysphoria (bodily disgust, discomfort, suicidal inclinations) could be replicated by giving cis boys estrogen and cis girls testosterone.

Elanna posted a cool article the other day about how trans-folk could potentially be one zygote that eats another, when one has XX and the other has XY. One zygote's cells will assume the function of brain, receiving the developmental hormones, and the other will form the body, leading to a mismatch of hormones that causes gender dysphoria.
