I was wondering, why do so many transgirls not have a passing voice? Like is it simply that they aren't putting in the effort? Or do they have a lower starting vocal range than those whose voice passes and they physically cannot get a female voice?

My voice was pretty standard for a guys voice originally, but it was relatively easy to comfortably get my voice to the correct pitch and resonance within a couple of months. A lot of older transwomen tend to come somewhat close to passing visually to the point where they would pass with a trained voice, but for some reason the voice lets them down.
