No insurance and using Groupon coupons gets me down to 60usd a month. If I went to walmart instead of wallgreens I could probably drop it another 15.

As for insurance. Depends on the policy and it's exclusions. Except fro surgeries, my transition costs are fully covered by mine. I just have to pay copays. I was paying $15 a month for my meds, but getting my doc to make the prescriptions for 90 days now means i pay $15 for three months.

This is a 90 day supply for me:
5mg/day - Finasteride 5mg 90p pills $23.99 list, $5 my cost.
2mg morning, 2 mg evening - Estradiol 2mg tabs 180 pills $20.00 list, $5 my cost.
100mg morning, 100mg evening - Spironolactone 100mg 180 pills $238.99 list, $5 my cost.

I recently switched from Spiro to Medroxyprogesterone Acetate Injectable, USP. It's a generic for Depo Provera birth control shot and works as an AA. I don't have the price here, but it was $90ish list and $5 for my cost. Each injection is for 91 days. I have to do the injection myself, but I know how to do them. It came in a prefilled single use syringe.

I don't know what your copays for doctor's visits and testing will cost you. You should have your hormones, liver, and a couple other things tested to track how well the meds are working, and if bad side effects har happening.

Both are generic. So $10 in total for a month's supply. Without insurance, both would be $30, and it would be $60 a month.
