It was a miserable experience for me, and it didn't make anyone more or less comfortable around me due to how bad I was at it / how fake it came across.

I think if your having to push yourself and it makes you miserable to be a certain way, whether that be your birth sex or something else it probably isn't the direction you need to go in.

The optimal way to live is to make yourself happy over all else (though that's a slippery slope ideology which I understand), life is too short to throw away your own happiness to make those around you comfortable.
