And I figured fuck it. There was no point beating around the bush any more, so I just straight out told him I had feelings for him.
First time I've ever seen him change his expression or look like he was generally surprised. He was kinda taken aback, but he didn't straight out refuse. He asked, "Why me?" to which I decided to follow that other anons advice and speak brutally honest as well. I told him I liked his personality, I told him I thought he was attractive, I told him I liked how kind he was and that we'd known each other for years anyway, so why not.
He took a while to answer, which again, was a bit of a first, to which he said, "How about we get to know each other first? I know we've known each other for several years, but nothing ever personal. After that we can both decide."
I asked him if I had a chance, being a man and he said, "I couldn't say. I've never thought of anyone in that sense. Romance in general is foreign to me, men or women. I don't think it matters"

After that we talked for a bit about random crap. But so far, it went well. We decided to go get dinner on Friday together, alone. Not exactly a date, just get to know each other according to him.

Anyway, I just got back so this stuff is fresh on my mind. I'm pretty excited at the moment.
