for mechanical ive always used a pentel p205, the eraser is kind of obnoxious if you expect to do a lot of corrections but for pencil things like math and drafting its the best ive ever used. for an actual pen i really like zebra sarasa pens. if you want to invest in a nice pen id say get a fountain pen and try to learn to use them, pilot metro for that and if you really like writing learn calligraphy though, its super fun. pentel pocket brush is a favorite for that. nice handwriting anon, never stop!

If I transition I would look like a freak, I accept that. It would still make me happier, but I'd be a failure as his only son, and my family name would die with me. I'm the only male with the name who can still actually have children.
How do I unshackle myself from this life long one sided competition I've entered myself in. I want to be free from this feeling of responsibility to be a better dad than my own, and continue the family name.
I've spent as long as I can remember being pulled apart by two conflicting objectives. The desire to become the woman I feel like I'm supposed to be, and the desire to be a greater man than the one who raised me.

I live in the states and in some areas that can be the focus. I grew up in a super conservative southern state that had silly ideas like that. In most of the country, especially in any population dense area that isn't majority black, women are put on a serious pedestal and protected.
