Actually half was posting it here to see what other's thought on it. I had that same problem Hard was a joke but extreme I think I still have something in chapter 11 barely from like, planning and going as slow and steady as possible, and praying to the gods on some turns.

But from what I'm reading atm they might've avoided that issue by doing the two games, everything is saying Birthright is more intended for new players with Conquest for experienced players, so maybe thats how they have managed to?
