Yeah, that was my biggest issue with it as well. Especially the financial part. I'm still a student and I haven't managed to find a really stable job yet, so my income is everything but steady as of now.

I agree on that. Usually, if someone is too obsessed with their appearance, it is a turn off for me. For me, the best kind of guy is the one that takes care of himself (as in being healthy, cultivating himself, etc.) not making his main goal in life to reach a certain aesthetic. They might not have perfect bodies, but they also tend to be less shallow and overall more enjoyable to be around, for me at least.

If it were me, I'd try and establish it so all the basic essentials were there, and that people could work there and put their skills to use. Junk food basically refers to carbs that are calorie dense but not filling. Donuts, snack cakes, etc. The processing doesn't have much to do with it (although the added sugar does make them much more calorie dense without adding much to how full you feel afterwards).

The foods you mentioned are all filling but not calorie dense - greens and nuts are tough to digest, the skins of fruits are as well, whole grains take more time and effort to digest, and fatty meats like steak and fish provide long-lasting energy release plus essential proteins.

Obviously a balanced, varied, healthy diet is going to usually cause weight loss in most people. It'll fix some of the problems that led them to overeat in the first place. However, it is 100% doable to eat enough calories per day of the foods you listed to gain weight! Weightlifters (like me) do it all the time.

tl;dr: While you're correct, it's for the wrong reasons. Weight is 100% calories. Eating healthy, balanced foods will improve your mood and general health though so it's a good idea to eat the foods you listed plus a few others (red meat, dairy) that you think are bad but aren't.

I think you're mixing up things here, not caring about fashion and being interested in the clothes you wear isn't the same. A guy I know, the most masculine guy I know of as well, decided to learn tailoring as a profession and the quality of the fabric really matters a lot. Dudes, I need some advice.

I've been speaking to a guy in the US since the end of April last year. He booked a flight to come and see me, prior to continuing on to Belgium and South Africa. We had a wonderful week together in August and vowed to stay committed and see each other again when next possible. We aimed to do this in January, but I couldn't due to finding out my assignment deadlines too late, and the cost, as a result, was too high. We'd planned for him to fly me over when I finished in May 2016.

He went to Brazil in January, returning to the US on the 26th Jan. We spoke on the 2nd February (as we did everyday), and he told me he was getting a HIV test, as compelled by his insurance every 3 months. He said all tests were nonreactive. I panicked a little and projected my securities onto him, thinking he'd been sexual with someone else since me (he said he was compelled due to sleeping with someone high risk in about June 2015). He read it and didn't reply. I apologised a day later. He read it and didn't reply. I contacted him again on the 6th, saying I'd be here if he needed me. He read it and didn't reply.

Some of my friends think he might have HIV and is too afraid to tell me. He hasn't blocked or deleted me on WhatsApp/FB/IG. He's going to South Africa again in March, and since booked to go to Ireland in April. His birthday is on the 7th March. I sent some drawings early, on 1st February, and they arrived on the 12th Feb, but he didn't acknowledge me (though I did write to only open it on the 7th March).

He still hasn't messaged me. He seems to still be working his usual job, and I've seen pictures with him and friends.

What do I do /mascgen/? Wait until his birthday? Tell him after that that being friends is preferable to being left in the dark?

It's been 9 months. We weren't 'boyfriends'. Just dating, but exclusively.

I think there's a chance your friends are right. It's not easy since you aren't exactly boyfriends, but I'd try to give him some sort of ultimatum, or at least be angry at him for not replying (pretend to be if you aren't), just to force a reaction out of him (he might get pissed off, but the point is to get him to talk to you, then you can take it from there)
