Long story short, I'm 21/F and in a little over two weeks I'll finally be moving to a big city where I'll be free to date as I like without the judgement of my religious family.

I'm a femme lesbian and looking for similar but I don't even know where to start? How do I go about finding other lesbians? Should I try a dating app first?

Hey anon, 20 y/o butch here. As far as finding other lesbians goes, Tinder is your friend. Once you know a few, date around and meet more people in the community. Go to pride parades. Just meet people, even if you don't intend to date them. You'll find someone eventually.
