Let's stop making fun of hons for a moment and take the time to appreciate some actually cool trans people.
Here's Wendy Carlos, she composed the first full-length album of music made with a synthesizer, called Switched-On Bach, which was a smash hit and popularized the synthesizer as a musical instrument and not just a lab experiment. She composed the soundtrack for A Clockwork Orange and parts of the soundtracks for The Shining and Tron.
She began transitioning in 1968 at 28 years old, and changed her name from Walter to Wendy.
